Our story started with a spark of inspiration on a typical rainy British afternoon. We know the weather here isn’t always perfect, but us Brits are a resilient bunch – a little rain won’t dampen our barbecue spirit! That’s why we set out on a mission: to create the ultimate outdoor kitchen experience, one that even Mother Nature couldn’t spoil.
After spending seven years in Australia, our co-founder, Joe Maddison, developed a deep love for all things BBQ. When he returned to the UK to be closer to family, he was determined to bring that passion home. While searching for the perfect outdoor kitchen for his garden in South Devon, Joe discovered how challenging it was to find all the right components. That challenge inspired the creation of Barbacoa, with the help of a trusted friend.
